The Society’s interest is focused on Wandsworth Common and Wandsworth town centre, the Thames and the Wandle. However we also consider issues from further a field that will impact on local quality of life, transport and major developments in the borough.

Society Committees
The Society comprises a number of specialist committees including: Planning, Transport, Open spaces & rivers. They monitor developments and report to the Executive Committee who then make appropriate representations. On occasion a concerted campaign will be mounted such as the High Street traffic issue and the campaign that kick-started the original town-centre regeneration programme.

Regeneration
The Society played a leading role in the inner-city regeneration programme initiated by the government a decade ago and is now represented on its successor, the Wandsworth Town Centre Partnership, where we continue to promote revival and coherent planning in the town centre and riverside quarter.
